Pittsburgh 30th August 1793 Sir, Your letter of the 24th Instant, I have Received together with Packet, and Letter for Head Quarters, which I have sent forward by Express to be put on Board a Boat, that I sent off yesterday for Fort Washington. On Board this Boat I have sent four Waggons, with their apparatus, and one hundred Pack Saddles.
I have got Harness made for the Six Tumbrells, four of them, are come to hand, as soon as the other two arrive (which are Expected in a few days) I shall send them forward, together with all the other stores that may come to hand in that time.
I have herewith Inclosed a Return of Stores Received and forwarded since last Post. I am told a number of Waggons, with Public Stores are on the Road, and may be Expressed next week. Boats are ready and the stores will be shipped as soon as they receive, but as the River Continues [ink blot], Boats cant carry a full load, therefore the [Charge?] of Transportation will be much greater in the latter part of the Summer, than in the Winter and Spring. The Buildings at Wheeling are 367 going on with all possible Expedition.
