Pittsburgh 5th August 1793
Your favor of the 5th Instant I have just Received together with a Packet for the Quarter Master General and a letter for Col Bryant which shall be sent forward by Lieutenant Pauley tomorrow the Barrel containing Loaf Sugar for Col Bryant shall go forward immediately after its Arrival.
I shall not neglect to have the Shoes that are burning in the Tumbells packed up and marked in the Manner you direct.
I shall provide Grass for the Tumbells at this Post, and if possible have them Ready by the time of their Arrival, in Order that we may not be charged with Sending forward Articles that are Incomplete.
I am now Sending forward all the Shoes & Clothing that have come to hand Since Captain Plan Departure.
The Several Packages of Military Clothing are all come to hand agreeable to Your General Invoice, but Hogshead No 23 of Cavalry Clothing must have been neglected in Your Store House at loading the Waggons as it dont appear in any of the Invoices that I have yet Seen, it is said to contain by General Invoice 6 Blankets 31 Dragoon Caps & 168 Palette Shirts the Cavalry Clothing therefore goes on Incomplete.
I Shall herewith Send you before of Such Estimate as I Shall have Occasion to make, I am much Obliged for your kind attention
