Your favor of the 3d Instant I have just Received together with a Packett for the Quarter Master General, and a letter for Col. Serjeant which shall be sent forward by Lieutenant Tinsley tomorrow, the Barrel containing Loaf Sugar for Col. Serjeant Shall go forward immediately, after its Arrival.
I Shall not neglect to have the Shoes that are comeing in the Tumbrils, packed up and marked in the Manner you direct.
I Shall provide Geers for the Tumbrils at this Post, and if possible have them Ready, by the time of their Arrival, in Order that we may not be charged, with Sending forward Articles that are Incomplete.
I am now Sending forward all the Stores & Clothing that have come to hand Since Captain Pikes Departure.
The Several Packages of Artillery Clothing are all come to hand agreeable to your General Invoice, but Hogshead No 23 of Cavalry Clothing must have been neglected in Your Store House at loading the Waggons, as it dont appear in any of the Invoices, that I have yet seen, it is said to Contain by General Invoice 4 Blankets 51 Dragoon Capes & 162 Privates Shirts the Cavalry Clothing therefore goes on Incomplete —
I Shall hereafter Send you, Copys of Such Estimates as I Shall have Occasion to make, I am much Obliged, for Your kind attention to my Several Requisitions, and now have taken the liberty of Requesting you to Send me a Quarter Cask of Sherry Wine, Such as you would wish a Friend to drink a little of.
I Expected by this Post at least the Ballance that appears due of my Disbursements up to the 1st of July, the Quarter Master General Assures me that I Shall find no difficulty in Obtaining Supplys.
