I enclose to you herewith an account of Doctor Allison of 276.68/100 dollars for his extra pay as Surgeon General from the 7. August 1791. to the 3d of March 1792. with an order for Mathew [undecipherable] to receive the same.
D.r Allison desires you will ascertain the subsistence he is to be allowed under his present appointment as Surgeon General and also that his forage may be estimated and sent out at 16 dollars per month instead of ten.
I Shall make no comments on this request, — I suppose your estimates will be regulated by law.
