Sir,
I have received your letter of [undecipherable] date and submitted it to the President of the United States.
It is deemed inedviseable that the additional Post Riders on a rout to the Ship Sands be absolutely allowed. But the disbpofs hereof of the further incroachments which are acknowledged to have been both allowed and of any fraud which they may now have in addition to those the freight in with Deer, and discovered such as may well have been before mounted. Other circumstances of the moment, one helped was in consideration of her having been just into the Situations in which the revival before a general Blank on the Subject was made known to the Publick.
The Collector, Treasurer, and Surveyor of the Port are charged on the Part of the Government. Now that what is required has been complied with, to whom the Captain of the Sund will be dress the Evidence you mention with regard to his favor.
