In Compliance with the [signed?] contained in your letter of Yesterday we have carefully examined with the direction of the Ship James, Capd Read She has new wash boards with port holes and only the has pot holes in the stern which had not otherwise received, have some new Carriages with rollers mounted on them which 3. — were not mounted when the cannon in our day was very little in the timbers for the Tackles and Brushings. New frames for nettings which they are now putting up new rooms Ladles & [undecipherable] for the six pounders — She has now mounted fifteen foreign Guns and four [swivels?] with two more [swivels?] ready to mount — As to the Number of Men She made the only Officer we saw on board informed Us they have employed about fifty in her 6 Journeys since at Kingston James which is now lodged in the Collectors Office is mentioned as carrying twenty five men and mounting twelve Guns —
