July 1793 In compliance with an Order this day received from the War Office I send forward by Post thirty Post Notes of One Hundred dollars each to your Address — We cannot have any vouchers for the sums from time to time forwarded untill the same mode of conveyance furnish them, I must request in every instance the most early acknowledgment — I have no knowledge of the arrival of the last sum forwarded — Enclosed you have an invoice of the Six Hundred and ten Suits of Infantry Cloathing sent to you as before advised — Some [undecipherable] Articles are on the road for the 1^st Sub. legion and the whole intended for it will follow shortly — after which the [undecipherable] will be attended to and so on progressively — Four Hundred Stand of Arms, and twenty Barrels of Powder being a part of an Order for 750 Stands and 60 Barrels of Powder lately received from the War Office are also on the road and the indent in full will be supplied shortly — the Articles requested for your own use will meet your [undecipherable] under the charge of an honest and industrious Waggoner — I have replied in writing to every Query raised on your accounts, and I hope answer will be satisfactory — If not, as before hinted I shall Copy them and enclose them to you for more comfortable information — I should further inform you that 465 New Cartouch Boxes have gone on by Culbertson's Waggons — the remainder equal to full supply to the Army are in Store and will go forwards as fast as Transportation can be procured the abundance of Private property sent to the Westward has in some degree impeded the Public business, yet I hope all will move timely I am Sir, Your Most Obedient Servant Samuel Hodgdon Major Isaac Craig
