Sir — $ 1 16
Your Letter of the 5th instant came duly to hand — The Money you are indebted has I trust reached you — more will be forwarded as occasions require as I am taught to believe all applications founded on Estimates will be promptly attended to — The Sugar you request shall go forward in the next waggon — together with the China — the last Ships brought that article — but my better half on whose judgement I mean to purchase met with the misfortune of a sprained Ancle which has hitherto prevented — She is now able to travel, and you may shortly expect the China — At length the Auditor has reported on my accounts — a train of Queries confronted among them many that respect your accounts
those of a general nature I have in formed him I can answer, those more Minute I must refer to you for explanation — I shall push it to a final settlement immediately — it has been unreasonably delayed in the Office — for a fair account I am told to say was never presented — the queries I consider as quibbles — but they must be attended to — & this more hereafter
I hope the Cloathing and Shoes &c or have generally arrived — Martin I am informed has used me ill — he will firmly pay for it — the Indians Mortgage was to be delivered on twenty Jan — the receipt will determine when it was delivered —
