James OHara Esq. War Departmt June 29th 1793 QMG. Sir I enclose you an letter extract of a letter to me from the Secretary of the Treasury, and also a copy of my orders of Major Craig. It will remain for you to appoint some person to receive the Spirits alluded to at Fort Washington. It will be unnecessary to add that he ought to be a person in whom entire confidence may be plac’d. Six thousand three hundred & four Dollars has lately been furnish’d Major Craig upon his requisition, and for objects contain’d in your estimates. The remainder amounting to thirteen thousand Seven hundred & twenty five Dollars & 34/100 has been advanc’d to Mr. Hodgdon to answer your drafts, according to your advice to him. A Schedule of your requisition of the 26th march last is enclos’d. I am Sir your humble Servant, HKnox Sd Sy of War
