Since writing to you on the 20 instant I have received your favors of the 1st 2d 8th inst, and the Schedules and pay Rolls which accompanied them.
The recruiting money you mention will be necessary, and should it arrive soon enough it will prevent the necessity of breaking in upon the pay of the troops for that purpose which has been Continued here by the General.
I am not ordered out on the Campaign, and if Britt should return safe from Vincennes, you may Calculate on receiving a Statement of his accounts and payments in all September next. But I dont know how to send on his rolls which are become Voluminous as well as my own.
