I have Received your letter of the 15 Instant, together with a Packet containing five thousand Dollars, in Post Notes, Numbers & Denominations agreeable to your list. I shall Inform the Quarter Master of this Money and give him Indent for the Amount.
I have inclosed four Accounts of Purchases of Articles in the Indian Department to the Secretary of War, least he should forget, please to wait on him, and Request him, to Remit the Amount of them or to Instruct me what I am to do with them —
