I have just Received the Cloathing arms, and Equipments as Specified in the invoice which you forwarded to me by Mr Culbertson. I have only to Remark that there must have been a mistake in the buisines, as the Coats one for the infantry) which were not wanted as will appeare by the invoice of Cloath=ing on hand forwarded to the war office. I have mentioned the matter to the Secrtt of war, and must request you to forward Rifle coats as soon as possible, as all the officers Remaining at this post and ask belong to the Rifle corps. doubtless [strikethrough: rifle] rifle uniforms are wanting.
