Your Assurance that the Quarter Master Department, on Requisition of the Quarter Master General, will be fully Supply'd wt Money, Affords me but little Consolation in my present Situation, the Quarter Master General, being now at an insuperable distance, & frequent Calls, on me for Sums I am Unable to pay —
On the 22d Instant Stook the liberty of drawing on you in favor of Wm McHenley, for Eleven hundred & four Dollars, on Act of Forages I have drawn on you in favor of Anthony Button of Philadelphia, for Two hundred Dollars, in Order to discharge a Similar Act, these two Drafts be pleased to pay and Charge to Act of the Quarter Master Department, Untill other advice Reaches you from the Quarter Master General —
