Dear Sir
Sorry I am to trouble you again on a Subject which you have so repeatedly assured me you would attend to, and which I firmly believe you have done, but as I have received no conclusive answer, I must (this necessity) remind Mr Hodgdon, that my landlord is in town and is clamorous for his money, or otherwise if he does not receive it previous to his departure, my personal effects will be attached for the Rent due him, as you have informed me that there is no doubt but my acct will be passed, I would just beg of you in order to save me from this disagreeable dilemma to lend me [undecipherable] Dollars for which I will give you my receipt to be deducted when my acct is Settled, if Major Hodgdon will do this, it will Save my small property from ruin & confer an obligation on his Friend & humble Sert.
