I have received your letter of the 18 instant and am glad to hear that the arrangements respecting the marching of the Troops from the Eastward are in train of execution.
I approve of your proposition relatively to the Clothing — You will leave in charge of Ensign [undecipherable] all the public Clothing at Middletown, and your Recruits will be Cloathed and equipped either at New Brunswick or Trenton —
