Sir,
I have received your letter of the 10 instant, and am glad to hear that Mr Wilsons had engaged to set out for Niagara, to attend the Commissioners at the proposed Indian Treaty.
I request that you will receive in your care, and forward to Fort Washington all the packages containing Indian Goods addressed to Governor St Clair and which are forwarded from hence by Mr Hodgdon — The packages are not to be opened without the special order of the Governor — In the course of the present and next Month about five hundred Recruits will be on their march to Pittsburg. On their arrival they are immediately to descend the River to Fort Washington. I hope boats will be in readiness to receive them — I give you this early information that arrangements may be made accordingly —
I am Sir,
Your humble Servant
