James O'Hara esqr Philadelphia 11th May 1793
Sir on the 30th ulto receiv'd your letter dated the 20th was glad to find another 3000 dolls had safely reached you - to day I hope to hear that the last remittance of 13,000 dollars had gone as safely to hand - It accompanied my letter of the 20th April, and on the 27th forwarded the farther 10000 in the last warrant sent - then I have paid your new draft in favor of Greene and Mings of 1000 dollars and now send you nine thousand dollars more in small Par Notes which without Accident, you will receive with this letter I have credited your Account with 100 dollars avords of Captain Price, and charged it with the 96 dollars you received of Doctor Brown - Today several packages of Indian goods were sent by my line to be forwarded to Pittsburgh - as I had no previous knowledge of this purchase as I immediately waited on the two Secretaries for information relative to them, all that I could obtain was that they were a small parcel purchased on a particular occasion and of very particular kinds I again reminded them of your goods, and the probable advantage that might be gain'd by purchasing them on the spot - the answer suggested that they too might be found necessary eventually. I thought it proper under circumstances to make this communication.
I had written thus far when your letter of the 26th ulto was put into my hands I am very happy to find you had been disbursing covering the 13,000 Dollars, and that the remittances were perfectly agreeable - I am from heart engag'd, and am pleas'd when I give satisfaction. Nothing more to communicate than you will find in the papers.
