"Received this morning by a post from a friend that the whole of the Creek nation Crept the [undecipherable] had declared war against the United States that John Golphin, with from two hundred d[undecipherable] Warriors, had set out about sixteen days ago to join the Seminoles and was to fall on the southern parts of Georgia — but my information leads me to believe that they intend to make a blound along the frontiers of Georgia and this State."
