Yesterday my Interpreter M^r Bryant returned from the Seminolas with an answer to my letter of the 14^th instant from M^r Payne. the head chief of that tribe. M^r Bryant was kindly received and M^r Payne with a number of his headmen are to meet me at Colerain in seven days from this date. By this I hope to secure the friendship of those people.
