Your not having receipted for the whole amount of the warrant issued in favor of Doct. Joseph Strong has necessarily suspended the debit, at the same or of any part thereof to your account & of course the sum [undecipherable] [strikethrough: transmitted] is also in the same situation, in order to accomodate his business I have transmitted by Major Mills an indemnification for to you for the sum of $20[undecipherable] being the deficiency & have to request that you will sign & deliver to him triplicate rects for that amt to be given in favor of Dr Strong & that they may correspond with the warrant —
