I have Recd your favour of the 18 Ultimo by Col. Pots but was then so hurreyed had not time to Acknowledge it—
Hamit on the Waggons is not yet Arrived but Shortly expected— Doctr Carmichael Col. & Daniell [undecipherable] Officer & Mr Woods Arrived the day before Yesterday with the money I believe all Safe, & Yesterday the Doctr. Embarked with his Charge and off for Legion Ville— Mr Fisher waits here a few days to Refresh his Horses—
Your Jonath Bon. Arr'd here by [undecipherable] forwarded by Wm Philip Waggons on the Ultimo I suppose it must have Reached You before this time, his Receipts is hereinth Enclosed—
Colo. Nevill in the Hurrey of Bysness, or Perhaps Pleasure forgot to Purchase a Sett of Tea Table China for Col. Craig. She therefore begs of You when You have a Spare Hour on hand to Help to a China Shop & make Choice of a Sett for her & direct them to be well Packed up & Sent forward the first Safe Conveyance that offers—
You Observe that the Committee of Congress have made another Strange Report, I Should expect that the Same Men perhaps full'd of their former Prejudices would Come as near their former Reports as Possible, but certainly if this Business ever Obtains an Impartial Investigation before Congress it must Wear a different Aspect—
but my Dear Friend I begin to Suspect that, fair Play is not intended, however this is only matter of Opinion & in Confidence— I most Sincerely Pray that the Strictest Justice may be done, the Saddle put on the Right Horse—
I am Sir
