I have recieved your favour of the [undecipherable] instant with its enclosures, all of which have been submitted to the President of the United States.
I thank you for the communication of the proceedings of the two Councils and the messages to the Indians of Governor Simcoe, which have been delivered to his britannic Majesty's minister.
I am to inclose a speech to the Delawares and other hostile Indians, by which the error is corrected as to the place of treaty and the fast of June fixed as the time. This error arose by the mistake of Jasper Parrish the Interpreter. You will please to adopt the most certain mode of transmitting this message to such of the hostile Indians as you shall, upon consideration, find to be necessary.
It will be proper that you arrange with Governor Simcoe the passage of the Commissioners from Niagara to Sandusky with their attendants amounting probably to twelve persons and also for their baggage and Stores.
