Doctor Carmichael with his charge on a Slay and four horses has Set off this morning having been detained by the Weather. he is prepared to take horse in Care of the failures of the Snow. I also inclose a Continuation of the acct.s of Warrants issued & a Continuation of the Charges against Sundry Officers. — I have examined the Rolls of Capt. Adams Militia discharged by you but Their entry in my Books is Suspended for want of the Warrant of the Commanding Officer drawn on you for the money, agreeably to the instructions of the Comptroller of The Treasury an extract of which I inclose. Col Mentges in a Settlement wt. me has Credited you Three hundred Dollars & Capt Prior One hundred —
