The abovementioned James Willis was returned on the Rolls of the [undecipherable] Regiment, his pay for 1783 and the above sums were [deducted] but [undecipherable] to receive his pay for 1783 in the 3d day [undecipherable] to which having been transferred–
it was a mistake of his being returned [undecipherable] for on [undecipherable] to the Treasury Matters no such existence appears – on the contrary it appears to have been [undecipherable] complete in [undecipherable] at the time [undecipherable] was legally discharged–
