Washin^gton July 6^th 1793-] It appears by the Pay Abstract of Col^o M^cLean's b^d for October Nov^r Dec^r 1777 that M^r Stanton the Pay M^r of that Muster did receive the pay of Brig^r Ben^j Thompson to the 1^st Nov^r — the same are no longer — there are no charges on the Books of this Office against M^rs Thompson — neither is there any objection his serving as a Brevit Major — the claim Thompson makes the Certificates produced and the Qualifications —
