Note— Doctor De Bessnneville was appointed a Mate in the General Hospitals on the 16 Sep.t 1777 and continued until the 25 April 1778 when he was appointed to the 13th Virg.a Regiment he afterwards appears to have rece. an appointment in the 16th N.o Carolina Reg.t — during the time the Doc.t was in the Hospital Department he received — agreeably to your Certificate Cash in the Old Emissions, which being liquidated equals, one hundred and ninety-two Dolls $39/90 jts, this sum I have not opposed to any part of the pay now allow'd because his services in the Hospital Depart.t more than covers the advances — In stating this account I have been entirely guided by the Certificates produced — for the Doc.t being constantly detached he does not appear to have been on a muster Rolls after May 78 — the claim will therefore — rest on these Certificates, and which is Submitted
