[N^o 90 Maj^r Tho^s Massie 2^d Virginia Reg^t Jan^y 25. 1793] [By Hon: [undecipherable: signature]] Note— Doctor De Bessnneville was appointed a Mate in the General Hospitals on the 16 Sep.^t 1777 and continued until the 25 April 1778 when he was appointed to the 13^th Virg.^a Regiment he afterwards appears to have rece. an appointment in the 16^th N.^o Carolina Reg.^t — during the time the Doc.^t was in the Hospital Department he received — agreeably to your Certificate Cash in the Old Emissions, which being liquidated equals, one hundred and ninety-two Dolls $39/90 jts, this sum I have not opposed to any part of the pay now allow'd because his services in the Hospital Depart.^t more than covers the advances — In stating this account I have been entirely guided by the Certificates produced — for the Doc.^t being constantly detached he does not appear to have been on a muster Rolls after May 78 — the claim will therefore — rest on these Certificates, and which is Submitted
