I received your letter of the 18 atth by Capt. B. Smith, and the day after the recpt of it embarked pursuant to your orders, with General Putnam, and arrived here late last evening. As soon as my bagage, which is on the way from Buffaloe Creek, Shall arrive, I Shall come immediately to Legionville to receive your further Orders.
I Send here with the dispatches which I have brought forward to this place.
