I have received your letter of the 6 instant, and am glad to hear that the Indian Goods have been procured and sent forward under Mr Ellish.
Mr Parrish the enterpreter arrived here on the 11 instant with a letter from your son, enclosing a message from the hostile Indians, and also one from the Six Nations. He has Set out this day on his return to Canadarqua, and has taken with him a letter from me addressed to you, and which will be delivered to your Son, a Copy of which is enclosed —
If you will observe the contents of this letter, and if it should be your opinion that your presence is necessary at home, in order to carry the directions therein contained into effect, I request that you will do it with all possible dispatch — It is of great importance
