Dear Sir, I write you by General Putnam. & by him I forwarded the Accounts of Clothing Hospital Stores & Indian goods. inclos'd in a small Box. address'd to the particular care of Major [undecipherable] Pittsburgh — which You have undoubtedly rec'd or well before this reaches You. The Accounts of [undecipherable: Quarter?] Master Stores — I shall [undecipherable] as soon as I [undecipherable] find [undecipherable], & forward them by the first safe conveyance. — Major [undecipherable] wishes to have his [undecipherable] Accounts which he left with you forwarded to him by the first Opportunity. — M: Belli does not incline to settle M: [undecipherable] Chiefs Acct for going [undecipherable] till he knows from You the terms of his engagement. We have now very cold weather, the Snow has fallen about four inches deep, & remains on the ground. — I fancy we shall have no Expeditions this Winter, excepting [undecipherable] ones. — Charley seems peaceable.
