[undecipherable] Pittsburgh Oct^o 26. 1792 Sir, I have Received Major [undecipherable] Letter of the 19^th Ins^tant, together w^th others inclos[ed] — all have been delivered — I have herewith Inclosed an Invoice of Stores, Received Since last Letter — There is a Report now Circulating, that a new Settlement about 20 Miles up the great Kanhawa has been Attacked & Cut off by a large party of Indians — In a former Letter I mentioned that Several Necessary Articles in the Ordnance department, were Falling Wanting, several of Which I have procured at this Post, in Small Quantity, by expecting a full Supply to Some [undecipherable], — I find that the Laboratory duty is New to the present Artillery Officers, as Well as their Men, and I am too Much Otherwise engaged to pay the Necessary attention to it — Quick match in particular is Wanted, Salt-Peter and [undecipherable] [undecipherable] cannot be obtained here in any great Quantity, [undecipherable] ber of Port Fire on hand is too Small, therefore a further Supply of that Article — Port Fire Should also [undecipherable] [undecipherable] proper Wick be Wanted — [undecipherable] your Ob^t [undecipherable]
