By letters of the 21^st and 22^d of September [undecipherable] in very considerable distress with forage from [the?] Country of [undecipherable: Kentucky]. I committed [undecipherable] thousand [undecipherable] by Major Rudolph, [undecipherable] the first good opportunity.
