a Succession of [undecipherable] entiments in not having [undecipherable] Ansquiring [undecipherable] for the Army East Campain [undecipherable] it at this turn out of my [undecipherable] causes to my Engagement with [undecipherable] I have indorsed him with a Power of Attorney that you may Receive Monies due to me at the [undecipherable] Office which I have no Doubt but you will Receive from Mr Beny Miffler
I have Been Since I had the Pleasure of Seeing You to Vigencia in hopes to Get my Money from Colonel Darks Regt and was then Equally disapointed Since which time I have been in expectation of the Officers in France last Year and are Disapointed at this Post Receiving their Pay in Order that they might Discharge those Orders who lay in Your hands the Payment of the Army at this Place has not as yet taken Place I have Recd a letter from Mr Miffler and presume the Amt of their discharges will Pay what you Indorsed for me Should I not be the Case be Pleased to let me know and I Shall be Remitted with thanks Should Colo Hodgdon have any commands it will Give me Great Pleasure to Execute them With Respectfull Compt to Mrs Hodgdon & Family am Sr So You Obedient Humble Servant [signature: Probibie or similar, undecipherable]
