KNOW YE That [undecipherable] of [undecipherable] in the service of the United States of America, for a valuable consideration to me in hand paid in and before [ensealing] and delivery of these Presents, by [undecipherable] of [undecipherable] sold remised, released, quit claim, transferred and assigned [to] the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns forever, and by these Presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, quit claim, transfer, and assign for the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns forever, all the right, title, interest property, claim and demand which I now have and [undecipherable] the right, title, interest, claim and demand, which I, my heirs, executors & administrators at any time hereafter or may have to all the land which I am entitled to and to all the lands that I or either of them may at any time hereafter be entitled to from the Congress of the United States of America, And also all the lands which I am entitled to from the Commonwealth of [undecipherable] any Act or Acts of the legislature of the fair commonwealth, for [undecipherable] during the war with Great Britain and to every part and parcel thereof and all such pay, sum or sums of money for arrearages of clothing, rations, rewards, gratuities, prize money, commutation or otherwise whatsoever, for ever due to me for my services as aforesaid, for any Supplies rendered to the United States or to any one single State. To have, hold, receive take and enjoy all the lands, monies and other appurtenances hereby granted and assigned unto, and to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said [undecipherable] And I the said [undecipherable] administrators shall and will hereby covenant and agree in and with the said [undecipherable] no heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, and will at any time or times hereafter, at the true [undecipherable] his heirs or assigns, make, seal, acknowledge, or cause or procure to be made, sealed, and executed, all and every such more able all and any such other and further deed or conveyances, assurance and assurances in the law whatsoever, for the perfect granting, conveying, releasing, releasing, quitclaiming all or any of the within the right, title claim and demand as aforesaid which I can [undecipherable] have or which I the said [undecipherable] I the said [undecipherable] hereby appoint the said [undecipherable] my true and lawful attorney and in my name to ask, demand, solicit and obtain in my name or otherwise, but for the sole use and behoof of the said [undecipherable] from the commonwealth of [undecipherable] any grant or grants, patent or patents for the land as aforesaid and also a demand and receive all such sum or sums of money for arrearages of clothing, rations, rewards, gratuities, prize monies, commutation or otherwise whatever, due to me as aforesaid, and upon receipt thereof to sign and execute sufficient acknowledgments for the same, hereby ratifying and confirming all and whatsoever my said Attorney may do referring the same as fully as if I [undecipherable] for myself, my executors, and Administrators, do covenant, promise and grant to and with the said [undecipherable] on receipt of the money therein contained, or in any act which shall require the last [undecipherable] acknowledge or cause or procure [undecipherable] to pay, procure, or cause to be paid, all and every [undecipherable] whereof I have hereunto set my Hand Seal this [undecipherable] De[cember?] One Thousand Seven Hundred and [undecipherable] Sealed and delivered in the presence of [undecipherable] [undecipherable] BE IT KNOWN that on the [undecipherable] of [undecipherable] personally came the above mentioned [undecipherable] and acknowledged the above Letter of Attorney to be [undecipherable] and deed and declare it is rightly received and taken before me the [undecipherable] Office this day and year last above Written [undecipherable]
