Extract of a Letter from Governor Blount to the Secretary of War, dated Knoxville September 15th 1792 “Sir” In consequence of letters received from Equaka otherwise the Bloody fellow and the Glass, dated on the 10th instant, at the Lookout mountain Town informing that they with the assistance of John Watts and other Headmen had prevailed with the party that were collected for War,to disperse and go peaceably to their hunting- The information contained in these letters has induced me to discharge the Regiment of Knox and to dispatch an express to General Robertson of Mero district with orders to discharge such of his Brigade as may be in Service under my order of the 11th instant forwarded express on the receipt of the Letters from the little Turkey Brigadier General Sevier, Carey and Thompson.-" (Signed) “Wm.
