Dear Sir,
I have Received Your favour of the 15 instant but not the Invoice of Medicine you mention, by Wilcke I Supose it has been Ommitted —
I have Inclosed Vouchers for More of the Disbursement that falls under Your Administration as D.M.D. there are very few only now Remainds to be forwarded & then only for a Small Sum Vouchers for which it was out of my Power to get in Time for this Post. I hope however that the [undecipherable] that may Affect in my [undecipherable] one Immediately my Own Reputation now Stand Responsible till those Sums is Paid —
Mr Rice Poor Man is much Dejected on Account of the Small Pay Proposed to be Allow him is Certain too Small is it not Possible to Increase it to 25 Dollar per Month
I find my Duty grows Exceedingly Heavy I have not a free Moment from Reveille till Dark at night —
I am More in early Praying for an End of the War whilst most other People are Wishing for it to Continue —
