Philadelphia August 18. 1792
Sir,
I find the Treasury mean to make me accountable for all the Monies you have received - they have accordingly charged me with the ten thousand dollars which was forwarded to you by McKinsy in June last, & which does not appear in your Account, from the circumstance that you supposed it would be Adjusted in the present Quarter Masters Department.
I wish to have your Vouchers for the expenditure of that sum as soon as possible.
By this Opportunity I send you an Invoice of Medicines that are contained in a Chest now on the Road for your Post - it belongs to the General Hospital or Magazine, and will be forwarded by you with the first Stores that go forward to Fort Washington.
Tomorrow five Boats of Stores will be loaded for the Rifle Corps, which with the One already forwarded, making Six in all, will enable you to compleat the supply to the Troops as the Commanding General may Order.
All the Cloathing and Supplies for the Army of every Kind will be on the Road in a few days.
Doctor Burron, who leaves this for Pittsburgh next week, will take with him the [undecipherable] of all the Medicine [undecipherable] that have been [undecipherable].
