Fort Steuben August 7th 1792
Sir
From every Intelligence I can possibly procure, respecting, the Dates of the Inlistments of the Recruits at Fort Nelson I am induced to believe that the Dates as mentioned in the Pay Roll transmitted by you, are accurate & I have paid the Money agreeably, to said Pay Roll — If you still have Doubts respecting its accuracy, I can only refer you to Captain Richards & Blackburn or Lieutenant Wilson in their Attestations of the Men — I was totally unacquainted with filling up the Blanks of the Muster Rolls, which you inclosed to me — I have inclosed another Muster which differs but little from that sent me by you — If this does not answer you will, please to have the Blanks in the other M. R. filled up in your Office, and send them which will serve as a Guide for me in future, I am,
Sir
With great Res'tect,
