Regulations for furnishing the supplies of Forage Stationary and Wood for the troops of the United States — The rations of Hay to be regulated by the [undecipherable] — the [undecipherable] allowable [undecipherable] to be not less than fourteen pounds nor more than eighteen pounds — In the former case the rate to be twelve quarts, in the latter nine, or [undecipherable] quarts of [undecipherable] per day, a sufficient [undecipherable] to be had [undecipherable] the [undecipherable] [undecipherable] to be measured — All persons employed in the Quartermaster department or any other [undecipherable] Department of whatever denomination, to take the following oath to wit — "I A.B. do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be) to bear true allegiance to the United States of America, and to serve them honestly and faithfully against all their enemies or opposers whomsoever, and to observe and obey the orders of the President of the United States, and the orders of the Officers appointed over me according to the articles of war."
