Sir,
You having been appointed Conductor of Military Stores at the post of Detroit, [strikethrough: Niagara] Niagara and am likewise for duty am to report immediately to Pittsburg, the head quarters of the troops in order to receive the orders of the Commander in Chief, and to enter upon the duties of your Station.
You are to receive, safely keep, and above all issue arms and Ordnance Stores, arms, ammunition, and Accoutrements and every thing belonging to the Ordnance department.
You will receive those Articles from the Purveyor or, Corps depot department and you will deliver them, upon the orders of the Commr Officer of Military detachment or the Am Chief.
You must keep a regular Account with said, Sec Logan, Settlement vouching, each Garrison a detachment to which, you shall be ordered to deliver any Articles, always taking duplicate receipts for the same.
Accounts must be out on the 1st day of each month, signed by an suitable record, delivered, and as hand writing the Accountable from the Commanding.
The Armament and Artillery Artificers are to be under the direction of the Commanding Officers of the posts who will order you to attend to the receipt and delivery of the Stores, brought for repair and for
