[received 23^d July 1792.] I have been Honored with Your Letter of 14 Inst. on the Subject of removing to Wal[undecipherable] A. th[undecipherable] Public Store remaining in this State: I shall [undecipherable] to procure a Depot for the purpose on as Convenient Terms as possible and forward the Stores as will convenient [undecipherable]. I find on enquiry that the [undecipherable] had been were delivered to Cap^t Tillinghast Co. of Artillery & order of General Sullivan at the Time of his Expedition on Rhode Island in the year 1778 and they have ever since been in their possession, the [undecipherable] are kept [undecipherable] and in good order. your permitting them So to remain with the company will be productive of much good. as this company is the only Remaining [strikethrough: [undecipherable]] Harmony of Discipline in the State, and they take a peculiar pride on all public occasions to Exhibit a Martial appearance. and particularly whe[n] they form a Procession, in Conjunction with the Civil [undecipherable] of this State, to Commence at the Anniversary of the Independence of our Country on the 4^th of July — I have th^e Honor to be with most Estim Sir your Most Ob^d.
