as I have been constantly on the march since the first of Jannuary at a great expence [strikethrough: it has drained my] funds so much that I am obliged to ask the favor of you to make out my Account from that time to [undecipherable] and get the money for me if possible un by next post. C in know the time the pay was raisd and also the time of my promotion and not having receiv'd other pay on subsistance since I setled with you there can be no difficulty in arranging the business.
