I have not been able to [send] By this Post Vouchers for all the Charges against the Ordnance & Storemaster Department During Your Administration but there are with them [undecipherable] Tickells [undecipherable] by which the Hon'ble Officer — I [undecipherable] that it is an Exception that Every Obligation Should be Discharged, exclusive of Your Departure During Your Administration is [undecipherable]
You will Please to Observe that the [undecipherable] Dollar also Remittances by Order of Gen'l Knox was not Credited on the Abstract & also the [undecipherable] Knox has Purchased & rec'd several Barrels of Grocerys for which I have Required him to pay, this leaves you with Plenty to Deduct out of the Ballance, I will offer in my [undecipherable] if not [undecipherable] how to Request a further Supply of then Articles also a Side of [undecipherable] Table [Colters] but not of the Most Earthly Kind —
I have been so much Engaged these Two Weeks and that it was out of my Power to Complete my Monthly Returns be Pleased to make an Apology to Gen'l Knox for me it is the first time I have Neglected that Part of my Duty.
Our Frontiers are all in Peace Reaping a Plentiful Harvest, no one that Tranquility may last is [undecipherable] — It is reported we already feel the good Effects of the Negotiation now on foot —
