Issued July 13. 1792] [Robert Chesnut Hazen] [and find I have no Certificate for this July 10^th 1792] KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I Robert chesnut late [undecipherable: Soldier] in the old Canadian [undecipherable: Regiment] Commanded by Col^o [undecipherable: Moses] Hazen in the Service of the United States of America, for a valuable and full Consideration to me in Hand paid, at or before the Execution hereof, by Robert [undecipherable: Noss] the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Have and by these Presents Do grant, bargain, sell, release, transfer and assign unto him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, all my Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim and Demand, which I now have, or which I, or my Heirs, Executors, or Administrators, may at any Time hereafter have, in all and singular the Lands, Pay, Arrearages of Pay, Clothing, Rations, Bounty-Land, Gratuities, Prize-Money, and other Demands, due and owing to me, from the United States, or from any particular State. And I do hereby for my self, my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, covenant to and agree to and with the said [undecipherable: Robert Noss] his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, that I, my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, shall and will, at any Time or Times in Writing, when thereto required, at the Expence of him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, make, seal, execute and deliver, or cause or procure to be made, sealed, executed and delivered, all and every such responsible Act and Acts, Thing and Things, Conveyances and Conveyances, Evidence and Attestations for the better, for the more fully and absolutely granting, releasing, transferring and assigning, all the Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim and Demand, which I now have, or which I, or either of my Heirs, Executors, Administrators, or Assigns may at any Time hereafter have, in all and singular the Lands and other the Premises, hereby granted and assigned unto him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, for and on behalf of those Grants hereunto already made, as any Counsel learned in the Law shall advise, devise or recommend. And I do hereby make, constitute and appoint the said Robert [undecipherable: Noss] my true and sufficient attorney in fact, to ask, demand, recover and receive, from the United States, or from any particular State, or from any Person or Persons, acting by, from, or under their, or either of their authority, all and singular the Lands, Pay, Arrearages of Pay, Clothing, Rations, Bounty-Land, Gratuities, Prize-Money and other Demands, whatsoever, unpaid and belonging or detained from me, by any Manner of Way or Means whatsoever; and upon Receipt thereof, to execute and deliver sufficient and regular Receipts, Releases, and Discharges for the same. And to find and [undecipherable] Conveyances and Assurances in the Law, to grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm the said Lands, to the Purchaser or Purchasers thereof, his, her, or their Heirs and Assigns forever. Also [undecipherable] any such particular State, for, or in Conjunction of Services as aforesaid, with Power an attorney or Attorneys under him, for the Purposes aforesaid, to make, or substitute, and him or them to supercede for [undecipherable] of the said Purposes, and generally for all Ends, and Purposes, as I might or could do by being Personally present, and to have done the Same, hereby allowing, ratifying and confirming all and whatsoever, my said Attorney, or his Substitute, or Substitutes shall, or may do, or cause to be done, in or by Virtue of these Presents.
