As the Stores are going on from time to time, I trust you will in case of any danger from the Indians, give such orders for the protection of the public property, which is without Escort, as you may judge proper, either by directing the Stores to pass on from Bedford by the Glade Road, or such other measures as you may judge expedient.
Captain Stake is forming a junction with his Lieutenant at Reading— the Horses are all purchased; Major Rudulphi has inspected the horses and Men, who were at Elizabeth Town, & highly approves the former. He has gone to Reading in order to
