Lancaster 18^th June 1792 Sir I have the honor to Acknowledge the Rec^t of your letter of the 15^th Instant, together with one from Mr. W.^m Knox Clk of Military Stores, covering one Thousand Dollars to be advanced by me to Waggoners Carrying Rifles to Pitts-burgh.— As in my last I informed you of the Number Already sent on, shall now content myself with Assuring you that no Opportunity shall be neglected of forwarding the Rem.^t by hundreds, or greater numbers— the latter however will most likely take place, unless you forbid it, as it will, I fear, be out of my power to procure waggons to convey them by hundreds in Any Reasonable time, I shall take care to give you the earliest information of the number of Arms forwarded from time to time and of the monies expended for that purpose. with much respect I have the honor to be &c.
