The inclosed Account for one Hundred & Ten dollars which I have paid to Joseph [undecipherable: probable reading Lepley] Express, is now forwarded in Order that you may remit me the amount. The letter of the Secretary of War annexed to the Account, shews the authority by which I have acted & now make the demand; you have doubtless however been instructed on the Subject. I will thank you to remit me the amount in Bank Notes, or any other convenient paper, for which I will immediately return you a receipt in such form as you shall request.
