I pray your Sir as fast as you shall have one hundred rifles inspected that you would forward them to Pittsburg always notifying [me] of the numbers forwarded.
I have directed that one thousand dollars be remitted you by this post, in order to be advanced by you to the Waggoners — you will take duplicate receipts from each Waggoner — and the remainder shall ——— be transmitted to you for the payment of the Waggoners upon their return
