I have received yours of the 30 ultimo informing me of your success in recruiting —
On the receipt of this letter, I request that you will embark all your recruits on board of Vessel at Albany which you will obtain for the purposes from Mr Daniel Hale, and proceed with them yourself to New Brunswick in New Jersey, where your men will be completely clothed, mustered and inspected and will also receive one months pay, previous to marching from that rendezvous —
As the Officers of cavalry are unavoidably subject to considerable expence in mounting and equipping themselves for Service I shall order six months pay and three months Subsistence & forage to be furnished you and your
