I S have mentioned a few thoughts to proper which I submit to your consideration finding Corn and Corn very plenty here and the waters coming very dry and live more luck wells make the small Rivers in Kentucky unfit for navigation at this time would it therefore not be lost to purchase two or few thousand bushels of Corn more than you intended, as the price of the house at Fort Washington particularly as Major [undecipherable] tells me it can be bought here very reasonable that is from a 2/426, and oats at about 1/2. The transportation will not cost above 6 a bushel. Corn can be delivered at Fort Washington from Kentucky from December till May at about 6/9. But after that time it is so difficult to transport it under 9 have from you I shall not contract for more than about 5 or 6 thousand bushels to convey in Kentucky to the Government as the forage of cavalry, horses Corn, forage and horses, allowing it will amount to more money than I received of you. I will be glad to receive in the course of next Month a few thousand Dollars more to enable me to settle in life. your answer will be thankfully received by
