Dear Sir
I have received yours, favour'd the 23d & 30th ult.o & am much obliged to you for the trouble — have Taken to discover the mistake — & to speak to the Boys — I had but a few Quires of Post paper (you [undecipherable], a few Reams of Good Cut & 5 quires of Letter paper which I thought for you Supposing you much in want of it, I forwarded Yesterday by the opp.t of a Waggon from the Contractors Store & under the Care of M.r Tate — who will deliver you in this — I have paid, for the latter 3.8/ p.r Ream — the lowest price it could be procured at, This much finer than the Paper you wrote me [undecipherable], & hope you will approve the quality of it —
I Received y.r letter of the 30th ult.o — being at my Return from the Country. Too late to answer it by the Express which M.r Morton wrote by — Your order for the Horses I Immediately set about Executing & shall be doing all [undecipherable] to procure such as will Answer your Expectations & now I am determined to [undecipherable: probable reading "take none"] that will not fully Come up to my Ideas of such as you wish them to be. In a few Days we shall let you know what progress we have Made in the Business, so as to give Time to provide for their Safe Conduct to [undecipherable] — In the mean while I Remain very Sincerely
Sir
Your ob.t Ser.t
John Moylan
P.S.
In the Box addressed to you
