The Bearer hereof, William Mumford Esqr having been employed, in various Departments, in Public Service, in the State of Rhode Island, and in this State, upward of twelve Years, in all which he has the Reputation of having been faithful and diligent: and of having sustained a fair Character: and being now out of [strikethrough: Employ] are take the Liberty to recommend him as a Person capable of performing the Duties of a Clerk, in some of the Publick Offices. Should you be fit to employ him We doubt not but his Integrity and Attention to the Discharge of such Business as may be committed to his Care.
